Ricky: 1993 - 2009
Saturday 29 August 2009

It has been days but finally I have gather enough courage to blog this out without crying when I look at all his photos. My dear Ricky, or rather kiki left us last Tuesday. He was 16 years old (human age). I know that is considered very old for a dog but he is just like the youngest member of our family.

I could still remember the day (it was raining cats and dogs on the 3rd day of CNY) when we bought him at a pet shop 15 years ago at Serangoon Garden. He was the only Pom there and all of us knew it was him that we had to bring home.

Kiki had definitely brought so much joy into our family. He was also the one that brought me and dar together. Hai... home don't even feel so same now ever since he left. Mum say we are not going to have another dog again. I totally understand how she feels because no dog can ever replace kiki in our hearts and minds... Like what my dad used to say, he is another member of the family, our youngest brother...

We'll all miss you.. Always...

My Samsung Jet
Monday 24 August 2009

Was contemplating whether or not I should change my mobile phone when the new iPhone was launch. Though I like the new iPhone very much, I just couldn't get over the fact that the bluetooth technology is not there.. and yes, bluetooth is very impt to me.
So when dar upgraded his mobile to a super powerful Samsung Omnia HD, I couldn't take it anymore. And after some research, I found what i was looking for.
Last Friday, I got my new Samsung Jet S8000. Am still trying to get used to the touch screen and everything but the phone is super cool!!!!
I love it!

The Proposal

Couldn't wait to watch this movie when I saw the trailer cause Sandra Bullock has always been one of my fav actress since the 'Speed' days.
Maybe I was bias but i felt the movie delivered what i expect out of it. Romance, comedy, really touching scenes etc. I just can't get enough of Bullock!! And i gotta say, her bods looks great for someone in her 40s.. Oppss.. Its a great movie to go catch it with your gal pals and also with your bf or hubby.

Evie's 1st Birthday
Monday 17 August 2009

After our monthly visit to the gynae, we set out for Mel's and Gayle's shop to celebrate Evie's 1st birthday. Time flies, and it felt like it was only yesterday that we were visiting her at the hospital. Check out that lovely birthday cake and those cute littel cupcakes.

Some simple decorations...

Adrain here together with his gf and the birthday gal. Isn't Evie cute with that little pink ribbon on her head and that really fluffy dress.
Time to sing the birthday song!! Evie with her mummy and daddy. OK, i think she is getting a littel confuse here cause there was a lot of commotion going around her.

And here's me with my swollen belly. The question mark on the cupcake was for my BB cause we have yet to come up with a name. Doc has told us that there is a 95% chance we are expecting a girl!!!
And i'm trying my best to resist the temptation to buy a lot of really cute dresses, hairbands, clips, skirts etc for her... hehe

UP: The Movie
Tuesday 11 August 2009

Am having the 'after a long weekend withdrawal syndrome'. Hai, so not enjoying my work.
Anyhow, I managed to catch this new Pixar animation yesterday. Dar suggested for us to go for the 3D version since we have never watch a Disney movie in 3D before.

I love the movie. Especially the relationship that Carl and Ellie had, its just really lovely and touching. Though i felt that the movie trailer kinda gave a false impression of who Carl (the old man) really is.
Oh, and i feel that the 3D effect is quite over-rated. Yeah, though you get to see certain images 'float' right in front of you but paying 10+ for it was really not worth it. Well, it was an experience..

Weekend outing with the gals..
Monday 3 August 2009

Went out with the gals last Sat. Something we don't usually do on weekends.
I was starving when I met up with Bec and Yvon and luckily we didn't had to wait long before we were seated and waiting for our food to be served.
Dar joined us for lunch after work. So looking forward to meeting our little one this year end..

Chilling out with the gals at Hagen-Daz. It was crowded everywhere we walked, so might as well, find a nice place to just chill out and enjoy some nice ice cream. Plus, our little princess en en needs her daily dose of afternoon nap.

Ok, i think i look horrible in this pic. And i think i look fat..
Though en xi look so so cute and adorable..
We should so do it again before I get too big and having difficulty moving around.

May You Rest in Peace..

Last evening, my mum recevied a phone call from my uncle in JB to tell us that my grandfather has just passed away. We weren't shock by the news, but in fact all of us have been mentally prepare for it.

I 've never met my paternal grandparents and now I'm only left with my maternal grandmother. My maternal grandfather has been living with our family for the past 24 years and it was only in the recent 2 years that he was living in a nursing home. He was getting weaker and weaker both mentally and physically due to old age and it pains all of us to see him going through all the pain and sores and worst, not even recognising anyone of us when we visit him.

It's really very ironic for me to go through this whole life and death thing because here I am pregnant and nurturing a new life who will be meeting us in a few months time and there I recevied news about the passing of my 80+ years old grandfather. 人生无常...
