The day is here! I'm going on a 5D4N trip to Tasmania. I was so looking forward to the trip months ago and here we are at Port Melbourne waiting to board our cruise.

After 10 hours on the Spirit of Tasmania, we finally arrived at Tasmania!!!!! I can't wait to get off the ship! Our first night was spent at Devonport.

After a good night rest, we started our day by first visiting the famous Cradle mountain. It was freezing when we reach the top but it was all worth it. The view was magnificent, the lake was calm and the whole surrounding was quiet and peaceful. Cradle mountain is also a place for people who love to hike and track.

While waiting for the shuttle bus to take us back down to our coach, we took a snap shot together.

We head straight to Sheffield after leaving the Cradle mountain. This little town is famous for its murals painting on the walls of homes, stores and shops. It was a real eye opener and many tourist were busy snapping picture of all the paintings.

Another mural that i really like....

Hahaha.. I was having so much fun 'playing' with the murals. Of all those murals pics that i took, i think this one looks very 'real'. The town was just cover with so many of these paintings and they all look so beautiful.

After lunch, we visited the Cataract Gorge in Launceston (2nd biggest city in Tas), It was amazing!!! The view was really fantastic and it was just so refreshing to see these kind of scenery which is consider rare even in Australia mainland.

Richmond was the first stop that we went to during our 2nd day in Tas. We first visited the oldest Catholic church in Aussie.

Before lunch, we visited this bridge that was build in the 1823. This is the oldest bridge that was build in Tasmania that is currently still in use.

Richmond was where we had our lunch. After some really yummy pies, we stroll around the town and check out what i saw. Ghost tour around the town!! And i actually see a couple of these signs around the town. Who is daring enough the try??

After an hour of delay because our coach broke down while we were having lunch, we finally set out for our next destination, Port Arthur. This place is very rich in history in particular, its prisons. Back in the 19th century, the British will sent their criminals to Port Arthur where they will be serving their sentence. This building here is the front view of how the prison looks like in the past.

After the prison was officially closed down in 1877, it was then damaged by several bush fire. Inside the prison, we can see that bush fire has definitely left obvious evidence on this historical building. But, modern engineering has allow the preservation of this building.

This is the rear view of the prison. Try imagine how the view will be like back in the 19th century when this view will only show thousands of prisoners labouring away. We had a guide who brought us around the prison and gave us a very clear and good commentary to allow us a better understand how the prison actually work. According to her, though there were some who try to escape they all got caught in the end. I would say this is my personal fav attraction for the whole trip.

The day ended with a visit to some nature's creation of rock formation like this one. This arch is called the 'Tasman Arch'. I think anyone who has visited the Great Ocean Road would find these arches pretty familiar.

The 3rd day started with a visit to the Salamanca market and the Hobart port. At this port, we gotta see these yatch that participated in the annual Yatch competition where they start sailing from Sydney all the way down to Hobart.

Next, we arrived at the Royal Botanical Garden in Hobart. In every Australia state, there is a Royal Botanical Garden and here in Hobart, this garden is being spread out on a 10 acre land. The flowers and trees were so beautifully manicure. There was even an area where veges and fruits were grown.

The weather was great for a walk around the garden. Seeing these lovely flowers, I couldn't resist the temptation to take some photos with them.

For lunch, we stop by a small town called Ross. Here, me and dar tried out the famous tassie scallop pie which is only made and sold here. We walk around the town and by passed this post office which the design of the building really caught my attention. I just love the old fashion look of it.

We were back on the cruise sailing back to Melb in the evening in time to catch the sun setting. Tasmania is very different from mainland Australia and I really enjoyed myself though the group that we join wasn't that fantastic. But all in all, it was really good.
