Friday night out with Bec
Sunday 23 November 2008

Since AY is having her confinement, I met up with Bec for dinner on Friday for our usual biatch session. We first met at Borders because i so needed to buy books as i have run out of things to read (well, except work stuff). Then, we reluctantly had dinner at Sakae since we have no idea what we want to eat. Coffee was at Borders bistro, which we regretted not having our dinner there!! Anyway, Bec bought me a notebook and a really nice pen for my bday presents.

I really like both presents but i have yet to think of how to use the notebook. Thanks so much dear! We had a great chat and before we knew it, it was already 1130pm. We were both pretty knock out after a day's of work so we decide to share a cab home.
Lesson learnt: Nv q at the taxi stand outside orchard parade (not sure if thats the place, its opposite Forum anyway) on a weekend night if you don't want any guy who walk passed and ogled at you and thinking something really disgusting in your dirty little minds even though you are very obviously dressing in corporate clothing.

Happy Birthday to Myself..
Wednesday 19 November 2008

As the years go by, you seem to wonder on your birthday, what have i done for the past year for time to passed so quickly? Hai, i'm a year older now but i doubt i'm any wiser.
But i had a pleasant surprise today. Went out lunch with my colleagues as usual and when i thought we were waiting for our bill to arrive, the waiter came with a cake and sang 'Happy Birthday' (it was quite embarrassing).

This 2 were the 'culprits' behind the surprise, Wendy and Vanessa. Thanks so much girls!! I really appreciate for all that you did.

Back in the office, there was more surprises!! They gave me a box of chocolates as my bday present! I was quite taken aback because i nv expected this from anyone at work. They were being really really nice.. Totally make my day..

After work, i met up with hubby for a nice dinner at Sun Japanese Dining at CHIJMES. Believe it or not, this is the first time i'm at CHIJMES.

We order quite a bit because everything on the menu looks so good and delicious. The pic below shows salmon sashimi (for dar, cause i don't like raw stuff) and mango roll (yummy!!).

Then there was a seafood hotpot (which the soup was way too salty) and grill oysters with bacon and spinach. I ordered another california roll too but didn't took a pic.

After dinner, we had some ice-cream at Ben and Jerry's and bought some great CDs at That CD Shop. Thank you dar for the flowers, card and dinner. I enjoyed myself very much!

A golfing weekend..
Sunday 16 November 2008

Accompany dar and his friend to the driving range today. Actually this is the first time that I visit a driving range cause for a long time (well, even till now) i think golf is really quite a boring sport. Nevertheless, dar is quite enthu about it recently so he ask one of his friend to join him today at the driving range.

Adrian trying his best to show professionalism.. hahahaha.. All I can say is this 2 guys are amature and i guess that pretty much sum up everything.

忙...
Thursday 13 November 2008

Barack Obama won 2008 US Presidential Election

I believed it is no longer news that everyone should know by now that Obama has won the US 2008 Presidential Election. I don't think this news came as a real shock to anyone since he has been the favourite to win this election.

I'm no politics fan and neither do I follow this election really really closely, but from how I see McCain and Obama position themseleves during their Presidential Campaign, my vote goes out to Obama if I were to reside in the US. I think the biggest reason is because many people want to see a change especially now when the world is going through a global economy recession.

Obama promises many things during his campaign (like which other president candidate don't). I just hope he is able to deliver what he promises and turn things around.

Just a side note, I was watching the news last night and I found out that apparently SMU actually had a lecture hall booked up just so their students can sit in there and follow the latest progress and news during yesterday's election. Reason given was because they wanted the students to learn and be interested in politics. But erm, from what i saw on tv and those people they interviewed not many were local. I always have a theory why local young people are not interested in politics. But i guess maybe not many will share this similar thought, so i guess i'll just keep it to myself. :P

Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing Obama leading the White House and seeing what are the strategies he is planning to implement that will affect the world eventually.
