Teck Yang's Wedding
Monday 28 September 2009

Just came back from TY's wedding at Suburbia in Sentosa. Very relaxing environment, Alfresco style. A nice break from the traditional chinese style sit down dinner.

The couple marching in. I love her cute wedding dress....

After the couple change into their second outfit and march into the dining area the second time, it was time to pop the champagne.

Toasting time!!
It was great seeing so many of my ex-colleagues from DJ. Also took some time to catch up with everyone though i would have love to catch up more.
Maybe all of us should get together again soon!!

Elaine & Emily in Town!
Monday 21 September 2009

I was so happy to receive Emily's msn message last Wed or Thur telling me that both herself and Elaine will be coming to Spore for a bit of a holiday since they are having a super super long weekend in Msia and Brunei.

So, we promise to meet up for some chocolate indulgence at Max Brenner's. Both of them are missing it so much since they left Melb. It was so great to catch up with them, especially Elaine whom I last saw at the MBA Graduation dinner.

Then i accompany the both of them to do some shopping at Marina. Its been so long since i went out and it feel good. It's so good to be able to see them again and seriously, having a life outside my ever demanding job.

Venting
Sunday 20 September 2009

I'm not sure if its the imbalance of hormones due to the pregnancy or whatever but i seriously need a place to vent out my fraustration about that woman..

I don't understand how can anyone be so dependent on others. (well, besides infant and little children) I sometimes wonder if there comes a day when she does not have any maids or drivers or people around her to help her will she ever survive. Why does someone who is already in her 40s behave like a toddler who constantly need help from others.

Will you ever recevied a call or sms from anyone at 5am in the morning asking you the address of the hotel that she will be staying in? (because she forgot to bring the folder of documents that you prepare for her to bring overseas that contain all the information she needs)

Totally ignoring the fact that you are currently heavily pregnant but still expect you to work late every single day and even on weekends calling you to tell you that you have to work on weekends because the other partner that you are collaborating with is short-handed (and you start pondering who exactly you work for? your own company or the other side).

Calling you at 10pm at night and tell you she lost her laptop, dunno where she put it.
This is just to name a few.

What she needs is a robot, who don't sleep, eat, rest or have a life other than entertaining all the demands that she has.

Grandma's 92nd Birthday
Thursday 10 September 2009

Work has been so so so busy that I don't even have time to rest, not less updating my blog. I really can't wait for this stupid event to be over so I can seriously get a break.

Work aside, last Sunday we celebrated Heng's grandma 92nd birthday. You're right! She's 92 and still going pretty strong. Look at how she smile so happily in the pic below.

Red eggs and cake. Traditional makan for bday. Everyone getting ready to take a group pic. All 4 generations together.. We had to squeeze real tight together.

Just a random pic of Cookie. We bought him a treat stick that was also meant for him to get the itch off his teeth (yeah, the boy is still a little baby and the teething is making him bite everyting he sees). But he destroyed the whole thing in a day and ate pretty much of it as well.
So much for hoping this treat to last.
