Learning to Cope
Thursday, 10 December 2009

2 weeks into motherhood and I gotta admit its not easy. Putting aside the needs of the baby, I still need to learn to cope with other issues and demands.

Although baby constantly need attention like feeding her, changing diapers or sometime just a little cuddle to calm her down, i'm definitely enjoying every moment with her even if it means waking up at 3am in the morning to feed her.

But its the other things that is happening along the way that is getting on my nerves. Like a whole gang of people giving their opinion on what to do, how to do. It's just so irritating!!! Yes, I know all these people have accumulated some sort of experience in bringing up a baby/child but its how they expect you to just follow their way. To make matter worse, you need to reject or learn to say no in a politically correct manner. Ha, who would expect having a new addition in a family would link to building up your 'politically correct' skill.

And last I check, new born spend a large amount of time sleeping. Now that qiqi is 2 weeks old, she is also getting more and more sensitive to her surroundings. So please, don't expect the baby to be up and awake everytime someone comes home so she can play with them. So please don't wake her up on purpose so she can play 5 minutes with you and you just walk off and I will need to get her back to sleep again which is not getting easier as she grows!!!!!
