Old Days..
Thursday 26 February 2009

I cannot believe it when I saw this photo posted on Facebook 1 week ago by a classmate whom i have lost contact since we graduated.
Yup, this was me when i was in Sec 3. 11 years ago!!!!

And thanks to FB, the whole lot of us started commenting on the photo and talking about the past & what all of us are busy with now. I actually got back into contact with most of them. Well, the internet is just amazing.

Honeymoon - Italy
Saturday 21 February 2009

Finally, I'm back home from my honeymoon trip in Italy. All in all, it was a wonderful trip though the weather was really way too cold at times. The temperature did not exceed 8 degrees during the entire week stay and it goes as low as -3 sometimes. These are just some of the pics to share with everyone.

Venice

It was absolutely beautiful!!! And it was great that we were there during their annual carnival and we got to see people dressing up in costumes and masks.

Florence

It was so cold in Florence the day that we visited this beautiful place. And I think it will be so much more mesmerizing if we get to see it in Spring or Summer because the flowers and trees will be in full bloom.

Pisa

It was pouring the entire day, so i guess all of you can imagine how cold it was. I finally got to see the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa and sorry guys, I just felt that it was rather over rated. But after you sort of find out the whole 'rescue' process and the pain the people took to restore and maintain it, I think it might still worth the trip to pop over to take a look.

Rome

I spent most of the time in Rome. Conclusion - I am totally in love with its art, architecture, cathedrals and churches but definately not the people and dirty streets and subway. Well, I guess its a big city and urban people then to be a little aloof if you know what i mean.
Oh, and be really careful with all your belongings cause the rumors about pickpockets are true.

I'm at crossroads now and I hope this long break will allow me to find out what I really want and also the courage to fight for it.

Food for Thought

A Message by George Carlin

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints.

We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time.
We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values.
We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.
We've learned how to make a living, but not a life.
We've added years to life not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor.
We conquered outer space but not inner space.
We've done larger things, but not better things.
We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul.
We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.
We write more, but learn less.
We plan more, but accomplish less.
We've learned to rush, but not to wait.
We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships.
These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes.
These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill.

It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom.
A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete...

Remember, spend some time with your loved ones, because they are not going to be around forever.

CNY 2009
Monday 2 February 2009

CNY has been a really busy time for me and I had so little rest that I fall sick in the end. These are just some of the random pics that was taken during CNY.
Was at AY's place today to visit BB En Xi. She has grown so much since I last saw her but still irresistibly cute and adorable.

She was hungry when she woke up from her nap. So, I finally got my chance to feed her!!

CNY Day 2, many friends and relatives came and visit us. We had the traditional lion dance team over in the noon and they wanted to try something special this year - which was to parade the dragon.

While the lion was in action...

Before the guests arrived in Day 2, the Ong brothers were having some fun on their own.
